The raspberry pi is not in fact and actual pie -I’m sorry if you like pie-. It is in fact a small computer designed to interest people in programming. When digital computers were first invented, you had to program the computer yourself. That gets rather boring and most people didn’t know how so nowerdays the computers we buy are already programmed (very well) full of programs, and they look rather nice. As an increasing number of people are taking these pre-programmed computers for granted, a group of people got together and came up with this computer. It is only 25$ (around £20) and does not look like you’d expect it would:
You just hook it up to a monitor and a keyboard and your good to go! It may not look like much but if you like computers and technology and want to know how they work then the Raspberry pi is a great cheap way to learn to program. If you want a job in technology then programming is a useful thing to know (or it may be needed as a qualification).
